Leigh is a speech-language pathologist with certification in Beckman Oral Motor and Interactive Metronome, as well as training in assistive technology, Talk Tool protocols (oral placement to speech), and behavior management related to sensory integration. Leigh has significant experience working with feeding and swallowing, apraxia, and children and adolescents who have difficulty with pragmatics/social language. She lives in northwest Arkansas with her husband, daughter, and son—and enjoys running, biking with her family, and watching her kids play baseball and dance. Leigh’s favorite thing about her job is being able to experience a child’s first word, or the first time they say “mama”, and the realization that communication opens up new opportunities and independence.
